The Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. was established in 1956 by Samuel Teolis, who is the only local funeral director that is the original founder / owner of any local funeral home in our area.rnrnSamuel Teolis was born 9-25-1925 in Princeton, Pa. A World War II veteran, Samuel Teolis graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1950. He worked for various funeral homes until 1955 when he decided to start his own business. The first family served by Mr. Teolis was in December of 1955. Mr. Teolis, also had worked for many years as a barber in the Ellwood city area.rnrnThrough the years the funeral home has undergone many changes structurally. Each expansion made to the building have been made to better serve our families. We now have over 3000 square feet of space, which include 3 reposing rooms, handicapped accessible ramp and restroom , a street level office and casket selection room.rnrnSamuel Teolis now serves as the supervisor of the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home Inc. and his son serves as the Funeral Director. Both are committed to serving the community of Ellwood City and the surrounding areas with the utmost dignity and respect. Also, both men are very community oriented by actively belonging to several civic organizations each. And, both are Notary Publics to help better serve our clients in their time of need.

Our Ellwood City Funeral Home is located at 97 Grim Avenue and offers a large off-street parking lot, maintained, and well-lit. Our one acre lot can accommodate 60 vehicles. The lot can be accessed from either Grim Avenue or Route 488.rnrnOur 7,000 square foot facility is completely handicap accessible . It does not have a single step! We also have a wheelchair available on-site. Our beautiful new building features wide hallways and viewing rooms that can accommodate both small and large families.rnrnWe are the Ellwood Area’s ONLY Crematory . Many funeral homes offer cremation services but they do not have a crematory. If your funeral director does not have a crematory, ask them what crematory they use. Our crematory is available for your inspection.
